Wow! I like to call this piece: 'If Hiro had a film camera' In truth, it is the latest ad from Philips, launching The Cinema 21:9 LCD TV, catchy huh?
Seriously, this is amazing. So, without further ado, I give you...
Philips Carousel - a short film from Adam Berg and Stink Digital
Beautiful and stunning, all at the same time. But it doesn't stop there, visit the site to interact and become further immersed within the world of the big screen.
Simply put, an under privileged, overpaid delinquent drives a BMW through some paint. Then proceeds to doughnut across a giant canvass like a teenage angst ridden Rolf Harris, beckoning the eternal question... is it Art? Well... to add to this excuse for graphic graffiti (what other sort of graffiti is there? I know, but I like the alliteration, so sod off)! To add to this excuse for graphic graffiti they, with the help of the Digital agency Dare, have now created the first Augmented reality ad-game. It successfully supports the above the line campaign and showcases BMW as a forward thinking and innovative brand. Nice work for a cock extension.
Go to the site, download the software and try it for yourself. You'll be wearing a backwards cap before you know it!
Tweenbot is a social experiment put together by Kacie Kinzer. It is built to test the good people of New York, and their willingness to interact with that they don't know. In a word genius, in 2 words, watch this:
You can read all about it and see additional photo's here: tweenbots.com (I highly recommend it)
See where the little scamp got to:
Mission 1: Get from the Northeast to the Southwest Corner of Washington Square Park Time: 42 minutes Number of people who intervened: 29
Marvel at the comic genius of Aleksandr Orlov in... Compare the Meerkat Bloopers:
P.S. I am aware that Aleksandr is part of the Mongoose family (or Herpestidae) and not a ferret! I apologise for any offence I may have caused, not for calling him a Ferret, but for telling everyone he's a member of the Mongoose family, he hates that! HA HA HA HA HA!
After the BBC owned (or pwnd) the fools festival last year with it's hilariously convincing flying penguins, this year there was a lot of pressure on. Unfortunately, although there were a lot of decent attempts not the least of which was Reeboks, jumpers for goal posts spot or BMW's tow technology press ad:
Ryan Giggs and Darren Campbell play the fool in Reebok's suspicious spot.
BMW push the boundaries of technological comedy with this amusing press ad.
The BBC fell short of the mark with Stephen Fry fronting this thoroughly unconvincing but less then that uncompeling news story:
Dissapointing display of jesterism as Stephen Fry finds the illusive Shark-Whale. The Guardian and Brand republic introduced two great new means of communication, at exactly 00:01 this morning the Guardian released this article: Twitter switch for Guardian, after 188 years of ink
On the more social side, YuouTube presents a new perspective on how to view your favourite clips: But what you've all been waiting for... My personal favourite!
Top stitch of 2009!
BBC baffling ESP experiment goes right first time every time!
